We made the front page!

Wuhoo! How exciting! My town made the front page of the Edmonton Journal! There is some big scandal about government grant money being misused and officers outright lying that things had been done. This is the Edmonton Journal story. There is also one at CBC and at The Sun. Very exciting stuff. The report done by the provincial government guy called for the whole town council to be booted and to re-elect new people. Woo! I like voting!
We also had a Christmas party at work here last week. It was fun. It was themed like Hawaiian Christmas (lots of Mele Kelikimaka's were being said) and we all had lei's. It was held at Hub (the caf here) and it was decorated really nicely. We had a turkey dinner cooked by the Culinary Arts students. We also dressed up and got our pictures taken. This is our group picture. Thats me in the middle between Sandra and Chas. Claudette and Brenda are sitting. Out of 12 people from our department, we were the only ones to show up.
Yah thats it. I just wanted to brag about our town being on the front page of a big paper. I dont care that its not for good reasons. We're there and thats all that matters to me.
