Christmas Holiday
Wed Dec 28, 09:00 PM
Christmas was good. We had a pot luck thing at work on the 23rd and I got no work done as our main program was down for most of the morning. We had some good food, had a Chinese gift exchange and all went home early! Yay! When I got hom Mom told me there was a package from my grandparents at Shirley's. For the past 3 years (including this one) we have managed to miss my grandparents at Christmas. They have headed out to BC on or before Christmas and with me and mom up here it was tough to get our schedules to match. Well wonderful grandparents that they are, they kept the gifts and cards for 3 years and mailed them to us here! Isnt that nice! So I got 4 more of my Angels as well as 3 Christmas cards with a total of $150! Woo! I also found out my stupid new DVD player was broken again. I have no luck with them at all!
Christmas Day was nice and quiet. Mom and I got up at around noon and opened each others presents. Jamie and I got her a drill and a giant stocking full of stuff. Mom got me a giant bathrobe (no really, it fits around my fat ass!), that movie game, deer whistles to put on my new car (when I get it), and a yarn storage hanging thing. It was nice. Then we got dressed and went downstairs to Andrew and April's to watch the girls open Shirley and Bernie's presents. My cousin Krista and her husband Dave came up for the holiday so they were there too. Its fun to watch little kids open up presents. They just cant wait!
Then they all came up here to have dinner. No turkey or ham but lasagna and caesar salad. That was nice too. I made trifle for desert and everyone opened the presents from me and mom. The girls looked so cute in their cupcake hats! Mom will get me a pic of them on New Years as she is babysitting. Andrew and Trystan looked cute in their matching hats and April loved hers too. Everyone was gone by 6:00.
So all in all it was a nice Christmas. Not hectic, I didnt have to drive anywhere and I got good things. Hope everyone elses was good too!
