This made me very happy today. We are leading the US in the medal standings. Like a true Canadian I am most happy when we beat the US. HA!

I am very sore right now. It was PD Days yesterday and today. As part of our PD (professional development) today, we had decided back in June that we would have a curling bonspiel to raise money for a local charity. So I was curling today. I have never curled in my life. I am also not in any shape at all. My legs are killing me. And its only been 2 hours since we finished. I dont even want to think of how sore I will be when I wake up tomorrow. Despite the sore legs it was fun! I am so not graceful, and fell 3 times. Like really fell. From my feet to my ass, and once forward onto my chest. Then again I have problems walking in flip flops so that shouldnt be a surprise. We ended up raising almost $300 and it will go to the College's food bank.

As I work at a provincial college, I am part of a union. The AUPE to be exact. We have meetings I think 3 times and year and we had one yesterday. Its referred to at school as the Staff Association. Our chair left the school to go to a new job and we had to elect new members and executive for the association. Guess what. I am now the chair of the association. Or I think the President of the Staff Association. I am still not sure how I feel about it. It will be interesting and a challenge. I get to sit in on the bargaining agreement talks that are coming up and I will get to go to a conference in Edmonton in October. Its funny though because I have only been part of the union for just over a year. Go figure.

I am thinking of coming into town tomorrow as there are a a bunch of movies I want to see, and they are playing at the cheap shows. Waiting to hear from Nicole to see if she wants to come too. Anyone else wanna see a cheap movie with me? I also want these buttons. Retro CBC! How cool is that?
