Pretty good weekend

I had a pretty good day on Friday. It was slow as hell at work. I tried so hard to get stuff booked, but all I kep getting was answering machines. Too many people away for the long weekend, do I didnt have much to do. Luckily it was the same for the rest of the office and we were sent home early. Woo! 3pm to be exact. So I decided I would spend the afternoon in a movie theatre. Good plan, no? I ended up seeing X-Men 3. Holy shit! That was the best one in the series! Phoenix? Blew my mind. The way she de-particled everthing around her? My only problem with the movie, of all things to have a problem with, was at the end when Wolverine was getting his skin de-particled but managed to keep his pants mostly intact. I realize it was a PG-13 movie, but still. Come one people! Ben Foster? Rrrowr! heh and Vinnie Jones? I am so glad I decided to see this instead of The DaVinci Code.

Then I went and saw The Lake House. What a pleasantly surprising movie. I had heard all sorts of crap about it but I really enjoyed it. It also had an actual ending! Tied up everything in a nice little package. That hardly happens these days. Then I went home and watched Speed.

Oh! There was also a Snakes on a Plane trailer in X-Men. Heh I went a little geeky. If I wasn't alone I would have shouted "Get these motherfucking snakes off this motherfucking plane!" As it was I just laughed out loud, quite loudly. The people in front of me turned around and gave me a look.

And that was the highlight of my weekend, really. I managed to miss the fireworks. They were being shot off at Stampede Park, but at like 10:30. I had put in a movie to kill time and then realized I had missed them. Dammit. I also need to seriously get a pair of shoes/sandals that don't give me blisters. I now have yet another huge blister on the bottom of my foot. It hurts to walk. Stupid feet.
