Raines?

Has anyone else been watching "Raines"? That new show with Jeff Goldblum? I cant decide if its original or if its just the same ol' police-show-thing but with odd Jeff Goldblum. I think a third episode might cement my feelings on this one. Also I never thought I would see Jeff Goldblum or Madeline Stowe on tv. They were always movie actors to me.

- If you had to choose being blind or deaf, what would you choose and why? As much as I would hate to be deaf and then have the same fucking song stuck in my head for the rest of my life, I am really terrified of going blind. My brother has retinitis pigmentosa, as do my cousin and my grandpa before he died. My cousin is maybe 37 and is almost legally blind. My brother is 26 (wholy crap Jamie is almost 26!!!!) and will start loosing a lot of his vision soon. My grandpa was completely blind by the time he was 40. It terrifies me, to not have a picture of the world around you. People who live with blindness amaze me. So yes, I would rather be deaf.
- What is the best smell? Its a smell I call summer. I really only smell it in late July and into August. Its cut grass, nasturtiums, fresh wind. It is a lovely smell that is really hard to describe and I wish I could bottle and smell all year round.
- Would you rather be hot or cold? Cold. I dont like being to hot. If you are cold I find it easier to get warm. When you are hot it is so hard to cool down.
- What's the worst feeling in the world? One worse feeling? I dont know. I dont really like to think about bad feelings. Doing that just makes me feel bad. So I have no answer.
- Would you rather have something hurt or something be itchy? I'm assuming because the other choice is itchy that we are talking about physical hurt. So I chose hurt. If it was bad I could just take some drugs (DRUGS!!) and the hurt would go away. Itches are weird. You cant always just scratch and make them go away.
