Via txvoodoo, I am really excited about The Golden Compass movie. I love these books, I have read them to the point that they are falling apart. I have converted more than one person to the wonder that is His Dark Materials. The movie is gonna be great. It is cast as the author wanted it to be. Pullman was more than ok with Nicole Kidman as Mrs. Coulter. And Daniel Craig as Asriel? Awesome! The best casting of the movie though is Sam Elliot as Lee Scorsby. He was my favorite character in the books, and I even pictured him in my head like Sam Elliot. Its not often that the picture in my head matches the movies. Christmas can't come soon enough.
