Was he famous?

If you aren't watching Chuck yet, watch it! It is by far the best new tv show of the season. It is awesome. Now, to spread the Chuck love, stolen from mellafe and green-queen, I present in no real order, 10 Things I Love About Chuck.

  1. Title Sequence

Cake! "Short Skirt, Long Jacket"! I love that song and it fits really well with the computer-nerd-turned-spy theme of the show. The graphics are pretty cool with the little Nerd Herd guy running around. And I think it was the 3rd episode where we actually saw a title sequence.

  2. Zachary Levi

He is great as Chuck Bartowski. It took me forever to realize the was the snarky Kipp in "Less Than Perfect". He plays the nerd very well. He is goofy and nerdy and shy and funny. He is getting close to perfecting the "Jim Halpert" face. He totally rocks the short-sleeved white button up shirt. Even with the pocket protector.

  3. John Casey

As played by Adam Baldwin. The character is kind of an ass. But he is a charming, snarky, sarcastic ass. His cover is as a salesman at the Buy More where Chuck works. Morgan is "senior" in the store, but Casey is forever shoving him away. Literally. Its hilarious.

  4. Ellie and Captain Awesome

Seriously. Chuck's sisters Ellie's boyfriend's name is Captain Awesome! He doesn't have a real name! I love that. Very much like The Bass Player in That Thing You Do! And Ellie is pretty cool too. That down to earth, loves her brother, only wants the best for him type of girl. Not annoying at all.

  5. Morgan

Chuck's best friend played by Joshua Gomez. They work together at Buy More. He is the most awesome best friend. He is a total wing man, but also completely in love with Chuck's sister who can not stand him. And he can be completely annoying. Also, Joshua is Rick Gomez's brother and that is awesome. (Luz's brother! I love him too!)

  6. Girl Spies

Ok, so as much as I usually don't like blond actresses, I enjoy Yvonne Strahovski as Sarah Walker, girl spy. She is smart and kicks ass and really rocks. She's smart about it too. Her cover is as Chuck's girlfriend and she works at the Weinerlicious but she wears flats! So when she is kicking spy ass, she is doing it in sensible shoes! I love that!

  7. The Geek Factor

So the whole premise of this show is that Chuck's old college roommate was a spy, Sarah's partner who went rogue. He hacked into this supercomputer but was caught and ended up sending its contents to Chuck in an email. Chuck opens the email, see the complete contents of this email and now has said contents in his own brain. Casey and Sarah are spies who are now sticking around to protect the computer in Chucks brain. So Chuck will see random things and get flashes of the computer info in his brain. One flash he sees is a new clip and the audio says something like "Oceanic flight 815 was shot down by..." and then the flash is gone. OCEANIC FLIGHT 815! Like from LOST! HA! Not to mention just the regular geeky stuff that comes with Chuck being the computer nerd, pocket protector and all, and not being a spy.

  8. Endearing

Really, this show is endearing. It is
the best word I can think of to describe it. It is funny and smart and sweet but really it is just endearing. It sucks you in and you care about the characters. You want Chuck and Sarah to have more than just a fake-cover relationship. You want Casey to be less of an ass (even though you know he won't change). They do a good job with the writing

  9. Chuck wears chucks

He does! And he looks really good in them too.

  10. NBC picked up the rest of the season - OK so it's not really about the show, but it's kind of a quirky show (not as quirky as Pushing Daisies) and if it was on any other channel (read FOX) I don't know if it would have lasted this long. So I love that NBC has committed to the season. That means more episodes of Chuck! YAY!
