My mom is awesome

I love my mom. She is great. She loves me and makes me laugh and thinks of very cool things. My birthday was last week, on the 9th and on the 6th I got a package at work. It was a large manilla envelope with a card, a couple of kids books and a clipped together bit of paper. This is what the first page said.

My Dear Elizabeth,

Your mission, should you decide, oh wait. No choice, you have to accept...

1. Don't open the pink envelope

2. Quickly review the pages for books of Pirateology and decide which one looks interesting.

3. Review list of Chapters stores that I printed out for you and choose the one that is close to you.

4. Phone the Chapters that you are going to and see if they have the book(s) that you want.

5. Go to the Chapters store and look at the books.

6. Choose the book you want and pay for it with the enclosed $. You might be able to get a half a book with the change!

7. Take the book home - NO PEEKING!!!!

8. Wrap it up with the enclosed paper and stickers.

9. Tape the pink envelope on the present.

10. Open on your birthday!

If you follow these instructions you will have a present! I was going to buy it for you but as it was -50c and Shirley and I didn't think it was a good idea to drive to Edmonton to go to Dollarama for junk, Chapters for your book and Fabricland for a zipper!

See? My mom is awesome! So in the package was this letter on one page, 2 pages of info on the 4 Pirateology books and a list of Chapters in Calgary. Taped to the list of books was $25 to buy the book. So I finally got to a bookstore tonight, and when I got home I wrapped up the book, stuck on the stickers, taped the pink envelope to the present. Tomorrow I am going to open the present. It's going to be awesome! Did I mention my mom rocks? Cause she does.
