June 2007 LJ Reboot!

Thu May 31, 10:00 AM

hepcatliz! hepcatliz! hepcatliz!

So this is my entry in June's LJ Reboot. Its early, I know but I wont have access to a computer tomorrow (as I am at the library right now) and I want to make it for this reboot, as I missed the last one. I apologize for not conforming to the rules completely. Sorry ;D

It was mostly completed before the computer went to crap so I only had to do some finicky bits to get it the way it looks now. If I remember right, there was a spring/summer theme for this go round. This is as springy I get when I have to look at the dam page every time I want to read my flist. Which is weird. On my blog I feel more free to use brighter, bolder colours. But when I am designing for something that I have to look at a lot, I tend to be a little more subtle. Well as subtle as you can get with brown and limeish green. I like it, I like the little stripes, I even like the almost seafoam green in the entry bit. (heh thats what happens when you design on a laptop, it was a much more muted colour on it) Its not quite what I hoped to get done, but with the Great Laptop Demise of 2007, this will have to do.

yup, back. again. really.

Back again. Hopefully for a while this time. I know I say that a lot. I should quit it. Finally got cable and internet installed at home. Its been almost a year since I had it. Its nice. Nice to be able to spend 3 hours catching up on your friends page and not feeling guilty for doing it on work time or looking over your shoulder because you think that creepy guy next to you at the library is gonna read what your posting. Its nice. The website is fucked at the moment, I went on a wild deleting spree and inadvertently deleted most of the fucking thing. Nice girl at Netrillium is helping me get it back up and running.

That is my plan for the weekend. Getting it back up and running again. That and starting to read a years worth of blog postings on a bunch of my friends blogs. I'm gonna hold off on the fic until I feel I am sufficiently caught up :D Fic has a habit of eating large chunks of my evenings. I will save that for later ;D

Template update

Mon Dec 19, 02:58 PM

Yes. A holiday update in the template. The graphics are care of MS Paint, hence the rather large hollies with shadows and the text with none. I wanted it on black again but MS Paint doesnt like to change background colours. So it stays white. If I really cared I would fix it when I get home. I dont think that will happen.

You know what I got at the drug store last night for $6? Regular $29.99? Shout About Movies 2. Yup 6 bucks. I know its #2 in the series but it was the only one on the shelves that I saw. And I have been looking to buy it since I first saw it advertised last year. I refused to pay $30 for it. So now I am getting it for Christmas. I showed off my bargin and she took it from me and told me she was going to give it to me. Heh she's funny.
